SHIPPING AND DELIVERY
Normally first class mail is 3-5 business days, and priority mail 2-3 business day for shipments in the USA, but can take longer.
If for some reason your address is incorrect, and is returned to me from the post office I cannot issue a refund until I have the merchandise back from the post office. There will be a $3.00 reshipping fee if I need to resend it, or if you want a refund it will be for the cost of the item only- not for the shipping charges that you paid.
For all international shipments I send them first class mail. This keeps the cost down, and makes me able to ship at an affordable rate. I will provide a customs number, that will show tracking up to the point where it leave the USA (which is usually the Chicago Hub) and you may be able to track it in your country, but is not 100% reliable. I assume no responsibility for items that are lost. There will be no refunds for items that do not reach the destination. If you are interested in priority mail shipping with tracking and insurance, please contact me and I can send you a quote.
**** Please note if you live outside the USA you may need to pay customs fee's. If you are a buyer in the UK, be aware the fee threshold is very low, so the likelihood of having to pay Customs fees is pretty high. This goes for all purchases made outside the UK. Please take this into consideration when you place your order****
When I ship internationally, the items will be marked as merchandise. Any and all duties and or taxes that may need to be paid will be the buyers responsibility.
About Bullet Jewelry
Please only use dry polishing cloths. Things such as tarnish, can easily be removed with silver polish cloths. Never use liquid cleaners. I do not recommend showering or swimming with your jewelry on.
The bullet jewelry pieces are made from nickel plated bullets that have been shot at the range, and been tumbled clean and polished with a cloth to give a nice shine. Most have Swarovski Crystal accents, gemstones or glass pearls fixed to the primer. Each piece is hand cut and crafted, so there may be subtle differences such as head stamps or markings.
Please note that you may not be getting the exact item that is pictured, so you may not be the same brand of bullet as shown (for the bullet jewelry) I make things according to what I have in stock at the moment. If you wanted a specific brand please let me know before you checkout and I can see what I can do.
About Silver Plated Jewelry
All silver-plated jewelry tarnishes at some point, as the chemicals from daily wear and the exposed layer of silver react with air to change the color of a piece. Silver-plated jewelry--generally found in period or antique items but also in contemporary jewelry contemporary jewelry--has a very thin layer of silver that covers a non-precious base metal. Because the coating is so thin on the base, cleaning needs to be careful but complete to keep up an item's shine.
Step 1: Mix 1 tsp. mild liquid dish soap with lukewarm water in a small bowl.
Step 2: Dip a soft cloth in the soapy water, then gently scrub your jewelry while keeping it submerged in the bowl. Concentrate on any grooves or ridges the piece may have. Don't scrub too hard, though, or you risk scratching the item. Clean the jewelry for no longer than 10 minutes, then rinse and dry it with a clean, lint-free cloth.
Clean your silver-plated jewelry frequently--at least once every two weeks to a month with this method--to maintain its shine. This technique works on rings, earrings or larger pieces.
How To Store Your Jewelry
Humidity encourages tarnishing, so always store silver-plated jewelry in a cool, dry place. A simple plastic re-closeable bag (sand-which bag)will work wonders, keep items dry in separate compartments while also helping to avoid scratches. While you can use polishing cloths or jewelry cleaners on silver-plated items it is not advised. They can scratch the piece or cause more harm than good. The above method is safe, inexpensive and effective! Most jewelry dips are cancer causing - read the small type- even in small amounts. Do not let the product get on your hands and carefully rinse your jewelry before wearing!
Letting an item sit for too long in water could cause corrosion of delicate parts on some jewelry. Always take off your silver-plated jewelry before swimming, showering or cleaning as well as when putting on make up or using hair care products or perfumes. The water and chemicals used during these activities could cause the item to tarnish more quickly. Anti aging facial skin care products are acid based and should be avoided touching your jewelry (as in with a necklace) even if they are dry. A vitamin c cream or glycolic acid cream or retinol product may tarnish your items in a way that is not removable or it may expose the base metal. Use these products at night to avoid them damaging your plated and fine jewelry.
